What is Dahl's Rock Lizard

Dahl’s rock lizard (Darevskia dahli) is a parthenogenetic hybrid form in Tarkhnishvili et al. 2026. The parental species are D. mixta and D. portschinskii. The mitochondrial genome is shared with D. mixta and parthenogenetic D. armeniaca — so high mtDNA similarity among the three is expected and is not a field colour mark. Barcode and figure are from Kojori. This is not D. armeniaca: that parthenogen’s parents are valentini and mixta, with a southern Georgian range.
